The works were first selected among the winners of the local competition and were automatically entered into a masterpiece level competition with winning art from 14 other PMMA® communities. More than 180 entries were received for this year’s masterpiece competition. The winners are featured in the Art is Ageless calendar with pull-out postcards and greeting cards.

“Granny’s Grocery Getter,” a Painting entry by Steve Barnard, will be featured on the pull-out postcards included in the 2025 calendar.

“Evening Star,” a Quilting entry by Joan Butts, “Trumpet Flowers,” a Painting entry by Paul Johnston, “Heart Baby Quilt,” a Quilting entry by Carolyn Perry, and “Patchwork Pitcher,” a Mixed Media/Crafts entry by Karen Wiley, will be included in the calendar’s honorable mention gallery.

“We’re thrilled to see our local artists be featured so prominently after our local exhibit and competition,” said Andraya Taber, senior living sales director. “Their work is proof that creativity remains, no matter our age.”

A copyrighted program of PMMA, Art is Ageless is open exclusively to people aged 65 and over. For the competition, works must have been completed in the past five years.
