“Into the Woods” by Mary Goering

NEWTON, Kan. — Three winning artists in Newton Presbyterian Manor’s annual Art is Ageless® juried competition will be featured in the 2025 Art is Ageless calendar produced by PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®).

“Into the Woods,” a Painting entry by Mary Goering, “Head’n Home,” a Painting entry by Connie Rhodes, and “Graced and Freed,” a Quilting entry by Susan Wyman, will appear in the calendar when it is released this fall.

The works were first selected among the winners of the local competition and were automatically entered into a masterpiece level competition with winning art from 14 other PMMA® communities. More than 180 entries were received for this year’s masterpiece competition. The winners are featured in the Art is Ageless calendar with pull-out postcards and greeting cards.

“We’re thrilled to see our local artists be featured so prominently after our local exhibit and competition,” said Sarah Schmitt, life enrichment director. “Their work is proof that creativity remains, no matter our age.”
