ROLLA, Mo. — Five winning artists in Rolla Presbyterian Manor’s annual Art is Ageless® juried competition will be featured in the 2025 Art is Ageless calendar produced by PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®).

“Charcuterie,” a Sculpture/3-D entry by Jim Carney, and “Artist Metalwork,” a Mixed Media/Crafts entry by Agnes Maples, will appear in the calendar when it is released this fall.

The works were first selected among the winners of the local competition and were automatically entered into a masterpiece level competition with winning art from 14 other PMMA® communities. More than 180 entries were received for this year’s masterpiece competition. The winners are featured in the Art is Ageless calendar with pull-out postcards and greeting cards.

“Village Street in Provánce,” a Painting entry by Carol Jessop, “Sunrise on the Marsh,” a Painting entry by Dee Ann DuCote, and “Painted Pony Series “She Smiles,” a Mixed Media/Crafts entry by Mary Oliver-Hall, will be featured on the pull-out postcards included in the 2025 calendar.

“Springtime,” a Needlework entry by Carol Jessop, will be included in the calendar’s honorable mention gallery.

“We’re thrilled to see our local artists be featured so prominently after our local exhibit and competition,” said Ann Caudill, executive director. “Their work is proof that creativity remains, no matter our age.”

A copyrighted program of PMMA, Art is Ageless is open exclusively to people aged 65 and over. For the competition, works must have been completed in the past five years.

Started in 1980, Art is Ageless is an extension of PMMA’s wellness programs, which focus on mental, physical, social and spiritual health. It encourages Rolla Presbyterian Manor residents and other area seniors to express their creativity through its annual competition.
